I got involved with a bit of a likely-lad client from up-north a few months ago who persuaded me to come onboard and create for him some original 'Zombie' concepts which he needed as packaging graphics. The brief was flexible to say the least and i can't say here what the product was going to be because of our nda agreement, but as it turned out, the project didn't take off so now i'm left with a bunch of artwork. Some of the best examples i would very much like to to share -
For him i created this zombie virus concept. I made it by first mixing a small amount of ink with water and dish-washing liquid in a teacup, then using a drinking straw i blew into the mix producing bubbles spilling out onto paper, and proppa messy i got too. after drying off i scanned the best examples into photoshop, played about with colours, filters and layers until i got what you see ..reckon it'll make for a pretty cool desktop image for your laptop don't you think?! Anyway, moving onwards ...
This next image Zombie Living Dead started from one of the many sketches i did, then photoshopped -
Hello You're at my DoodlingJim.comBlog ..here I post ongoing news about graphics projects as it happens! It's all very well to keep one's pencil sharp but as a digitally-prone Graphics Bod I find the best practice is to squeeze my creativity muscle through the tech dep't, this produces quite a wide range of visual styles which in turn drives forward my inspiration - then I show it off!
Also I maintain a Slide-show viewer displaying bread'n'butter commissions, clicking on it pops out my 'Brighton Illustrators' profile page where I've bundled mostly ELT, Childrens, Youth projects and loads more you won't find here or at my home site.
